Kemira consolidate R&D - invest in Technology Enterprise Park at Georgia Tech

Kemira announced that it has signed a lease on a new R&D centre located at Technology Enterprise Park (TEP) in association with the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.  The new centre will open in summer 2009 and employ 85 R&D professionals.

This move is part of Kemira's plan to consolidate 17 existing R&D sites into 5 global facilities.  The sites will be at TEP, Gerogia; Northern Europe; Continental Europe; Asia; and later one in Latin America.

The five centres will be strategically focused on Kemira's customers locally and globally, meeting the needs of the pulp and paper, water treatment, oil and mining industries.
