Back to the future - Clariant appoint Kottmann as new CEO

Following the shock departure of Jan Secher, Clariant has appointed Hariolf Kottmann as the new CEO. In a move that appears to recapture the control of the company by the old Hoechst alliance (Clariant acquired the larger Hoechst organisation in 1997), it will be interesting to see whether Kortmann can bring about the changes required to re-vitalise Clariant. Kottmann is from the old Hoechst Germany school - Is this back to the future or will we see a fresh, modern approach?
