New Jersey sues Ciba for environmental damages

Asbury Park Press reported that Ciba Specialty Chemicals is to face a lawsuit for damages caused to the environment of Toms River.

The report states that, "The pollution is the result of Ciba's former industrial-dye and resin-making operations. The 1,350-acre Ciba property, which the suit notes lies in both Toms River and Manchester, has been on the federal Superfund list since 1982. All production work ceased on the site in December 1996."
